Project Updates
The Project Updates page allows users to modify existing projects in the Digisquares platform. From here, users can update project details such as the project name, type, status, and dates, as well as change progress and descriptions. This page is designed for efficient project management, providing essential details and actions in a clean, intuitive interface.
Editing a Project
The Edit Project dialog allows users to update various fields of the project. These fields are divided into categories for better organization and ease of use. The fields available for editing include project metadata such as the project name, type, database, framework, and description.
Project Metadata
The first section of the Edit Project dialog contains general information about the project:
- Project Name: The name of the project (e.g., PostgreSQL Test).
- Project Type: Options include WebApp, MobileApp, Copilot, and FlowBuilder. This defines the category of the project.
- Database: Users can select the database technology for the project, such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQLServer, or MariaDB.
- Framework: Select the project's framework, options include Nodejs, Microsoft .NET, Java, and Python.
- Description: Users can enter a brief description of the project to give context or details about its objectives.
Project Status and Progress
The second section allows users to update the project’s progress and status:
- Progress Bar: A slider to indicate how much of the project is complete. It ranges from 0% to 100%, with the option to adjust using plus and minus buttons.
- Status: A dropdown menu to set the project status, such as In Progress, Completed, or On Hold.
- Start Date: The date when the project started. This is a required field.
- End Date: The expected or actual end date of the project. This is also a required field.
Action Buttons
At the bottom of the Edit Project dialog, users will find the Save and Cancel buttons:
- Save: Applies the changes made to the project and updates the project details.
- Cancel: Discards the changes and closes the dialog without making any updates.

Updating projects regularly ensures that the team and stakeholders are aware of the current state of the project. It also helps in maintaining accurate records and timelines for project delivery.

- Projects can be re-categorized by changing their Type, Database, or Framework selections.
- The status of a project should be updated as frequently as possible to reflect its true state and keep all team members informed.
